"Weird" Al Yankovic received a Bachelor's degree in Architecture in 1981. He also served as valedictorian of his high school at age 16.
There are approximately ten million bricks in the Empire State Building.
The Bank of Vernal, in Vernal, Utah (where else?) is the only bank in the world that was built from bricks sent through the mail. Way back in 1919 the builders realized that it was cheaper to send the bricks through the United States Postal System (seven bricks to a package) than to have them shipped commercially from Salt Lake City. From space, the brightest man-made place is Las Vegas, Nevada.
The closest land relatives to dolphins are thought to be cows, pigs and deer.
The largest dolphin is the orca, sometimes called the Killer Whale.

Wow, Nat! That IS a useless fact, considering that in the world I live in, no one would ever, ever, ever do that. *closes eyes and plugs up ears* Lalalalala lalalalalalala lalalalalalalala lalalalalalalalalala lalalalalalalalala
Guess I should contribute a useless fact of my own... *thinks hard* Damn it, a philosophy grad-school dropout should be able to come up with any number of useless facts...
Oh! How about this one? Heraclitus the Obscure of Ephesus, one of the greatest and weirdest pre-Socratic thinkers (in my reckoning), died of edema (or oedema, for Nat), after a day of unsuccessful self-treatment including slathering himself with cow shit and lying in the sunlight.
Historical facts count! Even if they may at their core be merely literary facts...
