From the series Kozure Okami ("Lone Wolf and Cub" in English), the initial theme.
Ogami Itto, a betrayed samurai who worked as executioner of rebellious nobles for the Shogun, is setup as a traitor after his family is murdered. He must be a fugitive on the run, with his youngest son, the only survivor from his family.

From the only decent movie about wrestling ever made. The weird thing is, when I was in high school, I dated the author's niece while the movie was being filmed in my hometown. From the movie Vision Quest:
Red Rider Lunatic Fringe

The show is a guilty pleasure of mine, but the theme song is really good: I'm No Superman Lazlo Bane

Candy Candy, one of the cartoons I loved as a kid. It was hugely popular in South America--but mostly among girls. It was one of those things I couldn't mention I watched if there were boys around. It was asking for a beating. Sigh.
The original Japanese intro theme.

And the one that came right after Candy Candy ended, Angel (Hana Noko Lunlun). It was the story of Angel, a girl descended from both humans and flower fairies. She was taken to another planet where all powers are stored in flowers. The elderly king in that planet was dying, and his son had to succeed him but in order for him to obtain the wisdom that would allow him to govern, he needed the Flower of Seven Colors.
Angel returned to earth to find that flower. In the process, she also finds love (one of the better romantic stories in anime, actually, because the guy is initially a jerk).
Anyway... this is the intro theme.
