Does anyone know where to buy suits as well as pants for tall women either on or off line? I know Dillard's has some nice suits but they are a little out of my budget.
Thanks!

What inseam? Lots of online places carry tall sizes that have 34" inseams.

I just googled tall sizes for women and came up with 751,000 hits including J C Penny, Chadwicks, Lands End, www.tallwomen.org/clothes/ and lots more.

Dillards is a bit pricey, but if your need is not immediate you can always wait for a sale. Go try them on now, and then watch for a sale. By the time a sale comes around, your sizes will be gone from the store (damn it), but you might be able to get them online, still.

And Dillards is still cheaper than Macy's. :'P

I have bought suits from Tall Girl. They have a good selection in the stores, but not sure about online.

When you have more money to spend, I recommend having a custom suit made from a tailor from overseas (Hong Kong or Thailand). I have found that the materials and quality are better and the fit is perfect. It is well worth the extra money.

Where do you get measured for an overseas tailor? How does it work at all? Thanks,

If you need a longer inseam than 34, like me, J Crew is good. They have 35 and 35 and a half inseam. Tallgirl is good too as they have 36in inseam. So far, these are the longest inseams I've come across. And they're priced anywhere from $100 to $300.

They visit many cities throughout North America and you can go and get measured and pick out the fabric and style. I had two suits and six shirts made and they fit great.

What about jackets? I can never find one that is long enough in the arms. I did find the perfect suit at Dillards, an Ellen Tracy suit, but not for $700!!!

Yes, jackets are hard to find. I usually buy a jacket or coat that I like then I have the sleeves lengthened. There is usually some extra material on the cuff that can be let out to make the arms longer. If the jacket/coat does not have it then I pass.
This is another plus to having something tailored, it fits everywhere and I only paid just over $500. The Ellen Tracy suit would need to be tailored to fit which could cost another $25 to $100 depending on how much you need done.
