Hello everyone,
My name is Kaitlyn, I'm 49 years old, and I have just embarked on a journey, that while may prove difficult, it will be the most rewarding thing that I could ever do for myself.I recently outed myself to 2 female friends, and their support has been so much more than I could have ever dreamed.I have found a wonderful psychologist, and to have people to speak with about what I've held inside for so long has brought me an incredible sense of inner peace.I am so looking forward to embracing what I never thought possible. I AM a woman, I have no regrets about what has come before, just the anticipation of what is to come. Thank you all in advance, for being here.

Well, just had my last assessment visit with my psychologist yesterday.
Her parting words for me were "you are SO going to enjoy having estrogen flowing through you body, and I cannot wait to see the changes"
Well, she's right on both points!

Kaitlyn,

I'm happy for you! It wasn't long ago when I was right where you are. Just getting started on hormones was the biggest relief ever! It sounds like you have a great therapist and a support network. That's great! Welcome to the forum and I wish you well.

I cannot believe just how excited I really am! After soooo... many years of hiding my true self, to know that I was right about my feelings all along is such a powerful feeling. To know that I am not alone, to be able to share this with you girls, and know that your responses are heartfelt is amazing.
