Yeah, my four colours plus a layered cut set me back 95€. Dunno about how many USD that is, but I guess 150 or so. Oh well, my money so I get to decide how I waste it laugh I wear mine mostly shortish. Easy to keep, easy to style, can be varied easily even during the day (thanks to modern styling pastes). And if I want to change the colour radically, it isn't a big project to do so.

Going to my stylist tomorrow for color, and high lights. But no hair cut.

Will probably cost me about $60.00.

Color only, no highlights, no cut, costs me $50 + tip around Boston. I guess there's one good thing for shoulder length hair when you're still pretending to be a boy sometimes, trips to the salon don't yet cost more than the gas to get there.

I'll lose any savings real fast though after I'm full time - I've always wanted extensions... good ones.

I never got boy price, not even when I pretended to be a boy and had short (for a woman) hair. Not fair! frown

Having to color my hair , is taking a toll on my hair's condition. The alternative is to let it go white.

So trying different moisturizing conditioners. I have fine hair. Any suggestions?

I think hair has been one of the most frustrating things I've had to deal with in my transition. It was kind of nice, when I could just slap on a wig, and have perfectly curled and styled hair. Now that my hair is long enough to be styled, I don't know what the eff to do with it. I usually just wear back in a pony tail. How did you all learn to style hair? Just trial and error?

There are several good sites about hair styling on internet, You can ask your stylist to teach you how to style your hair.

There is no way to freakin style hair.

Except when I leave the hairdresser it looks great until the next day when I get my own hands on it.

Most need hands on help which is scarce.

I went To Sally's Beauty Supply. They recommended silk therapy for a conditioner, and Mane&Tail detangler for a leave in conditioner. It seems to be working.
