my company has good employment laws and benefits and enforce the discrimination act so we employ regardless of race or gender or sexual preference

Thanks all! It's definately still a work in progress. Although it is functional, it hasn't officially been launched yet. I'm working on getting some of the graphics changed and adding some features. I'm not a PHP expert so it takes me a long time to figure out what to do to change/add things. But it's coming along. Thanks to Darlie for providing some graphics. I'm working on getting them integrated. PHP isn't as easy to work with as HTML but I'm getting closer every day.

I'm also getting involved in the Obama campaign. One of my friends who happens to be a transman lives in DC and is involved at a high level in the campaign. He's asked me to help out in Wisconsin and says Obama is a strong advocate for trans-rights. I hope so. We'll see.

Don't forget about the Career Expo at SCC in early October in Atlanta. If you're looking for work, it's a free event and there will be some major corporations represented. I'm on the planning committee and will most likely be there to help out.

Jill, how much is advertising on ur site? I have alot of experience trucking and was thinking of calling a couple of the bigger companies to see if they would be interested in adver on ur site and acting as a rep if that's ok. I know there are quite a few compnies out there that have T's already working for them and if it's approached right to them they may be interested in actively recruiting experienced quality trucker T's. I don't run ads on the site. They're welcome to post jobs at no cost just like everyone else though! I hope to have one or two sponsors in the future that may have small reserved ads on the front page, but I'm not looking for advertisers or to make money by running ads.

It would be nice if the Truck Driving companies posted on the site. It won't cost them anything and they may find some takers!

I don’t want to downplay the importance of passing supportive policy, but if companies aren’t hiring anyone who can take advantage of them it’s little more than symbolic, and is actually misleading.
