They may still barely talk to you, or treat you as someone who's there to be a servant.
Well that is hypothetical. My experience is that I am included in all activities and we certainly speak a lot with each other. I am not known for being too awfully shy. I would rather spend time interacting than reading books in a library. At the same time I have found my listening skills being honed to an even finer level.
