I just wanted to say "hey". I had my first visit with Dr. O. a couple of Mondays ago. While I sat in his waiting room I read in Transgender Tapestry that Jahna Steele had died way back in January. Wow--I was both saddened and shocked. In the summer of '92 (the year I graduated high school) I remember seeing her on A Current Affair or some other tabloid show. Jahna reminded me of my idle transition plans and how I had wasted my chance to start living my life. Instead I was down in Gatlinburg having fun with my friends. (Well, I think you can relate.)
Yesterday I stumbled across this place while I was looking for more information about her passing. I realized that I'm out of touch to not know that Jahna is gone. I'm glad that I found you all.
