False, from experience, giving away all your material goods severely impacts one's freedom, no car, no transportation, no money, no clothes other than the shirt on your back, no house = no friends. Pretty soon after, one has all the time in the world to reflect.... It's a novelty at first, I'll grant you. Been there, done that, got the medal and vast experience.
