“Government responsible to, responsive to, the people, we Americans regard as given – God given, many maintain. When our fury is aroused and our wrath is righteous, we demand that our government act. We tend to forget, though, the fact that other governments must respond to their aroused publics, too. No matter how friendly to us, no matter how hostile, no matter how dictatorial, no government can long govern if it doesn’t respond to its angered people.” – Malcolm Forbes (1985)
It is a shame that we are a nation of apathy, a nation where the average person doesn't even know what their own best interests are. - Hope

His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
Jesus answered, "Neither he nor his parents sinned; it is so that the works of God might be made visible through him. "
John 9:2-3
Mahatma Ghandi, though a devout Hindu, was widely known to admire Jesus; Ghandi often quoted from the Sermon on the Mount, in fact. Once when the missionary E. Stanley Jones met with Ghandi he asked him, "Mr. Ghandi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?"
Ghandi replied, "Oh, I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It's just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ."
