My shrink of old told me that if someone thinks they are crazy, then they aren't. So I guess it follows that as soon as they realize the truth, that they are sane, they instantly become crazy. Nice.

I have seen all these discussion ad nausea. The problem to me is that they are focused on the wrong issue. The focus downstream of the proper issue. Its like debating how to position troops on a battlefield before a war is even declared (the terrain is unknown). Maybe a better example is discussing the college a child should attend before the couple is even engaged and before it is even known whether the couple can even have children.

I like to start at the beginning. The beginning is quite simply whose body is this we are discussing? Is it owned by society or psychologist or was it given to a specific person to own and live in until it dies? My answer is that it is and has been my body since before my butt was slapped to make me cry and I will damn well be the one who determines what to do with it. End of discussion. wink
