Not exactly classical, but one of my faves: André Gagnon's Comme au premier jour played by a fan of his. She's very good, actually.

The famous "Je crois entendre encore" ("I Think I'm Still Hearing") aria from Les pêcheurs de perles (Pearl Fishers) by Bizet. Tenor: Alain Vanzo.

This is when Nadir recognizes Leila, the priestess he loves, who has returned to his village after many years.

I guess I'll keep this thread alive on my own.

Not Classical (yet), but a magnificent orchestral piece: Ennio Morricone's Le vent, le cri du film "Le professionnel" (1981).

The video is a very idiosincratic version of the history of mass media, it seems.

Respighi's "Ancient Airs and Dances" has alway appealed to me at a very visceral level. That is, I don't why it touches my soul, it just does.

A rare gem. From the film Giù la testa ("Duck, You Sucker"), from 1971, Ennio Morricone's C'era una volta... la rivoluzione ("Once Upon a Time... the Revolution"), the main theme of the movie.

Lovely tune Natalie.

Here another of my favorite orchestras: Franck Pourcel, The No-Colour Time of the Day. This is the sort of instrumental I love the most.
