Perhaps the most cerebral cartoon I've ever watched, Duckman ran for 70 episodes in the 90s and in each explored a particular principle of Eastern or Western philosophy, from Quine's "indeterminacy of translation" to Rand's "objectivism."

Surprisingly, the setting is raunchy comedy. Duckman has three sons: the older, Ajax, is an apparently retarded scientific genius; the twins Charles and Mambo are artistically inclined. Duckman's wife, Beatrice, died shortly after the birth of the twins. Bernice, her sister, stayed with Duckman to take care of the kids. They also live with Bernice's mother, Sophia (just called "grandma"). The last important character is Duckman's associate, the pig Cornfed (they are detectives).

In this episode Laplace's demon, Kane's causal indeterminism and the Many Worlds Interpretation (or Timelines) are explored. The Once and Future Duck, in three parts. IMO, just plain brilliant and funny. smile
