Hiya everyone, I'm 21 and from Ontario Canada, though currently living in Manitoba. I accepted my transexuality about 4 months ago, though I guess I had an inkling since I was 11.

I haven't presented as a female outside my home, but I've let my family and close friends know about my decision to eventually make the full change. Those around me have been particularly accepting which is wonderful, not all of them- but the ones that count the most, (and incidentally anyone who doesn't accept us fairly quickly become people that count less and less).

So I'm just starting my journey, with hormones at the end of August and electrolysis as soon as I can scrape extra money together.

Hope the relationships I form with all of you are numerous and long lasting!

As this thread is for me to introduce myself, please feel free to ask me a question about myself and I'll respond to them, don't be shy.

Hi Ariana - that's a nice name, btw.

This is a great forum, even when we're tossing pies at each other and voicing our differences. I joined last year and since then have learned a lot just reading the stuff here. I hope you find the info you need - pm me if you can't (hey - I might actually know something!). I'm 13 months into transition, though I wish I had started when I was 21, too! Oh well...

C-ya! jae-mie wink

I hope that your hormones will include T blockers. You are young enough to benefit from them in a big way.

His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
Jesus answered, "Neither he nor his parents sinned; it is so that the works of God might be made visible through him. "
John 9:2-3

Mahatma Ghandi, though a devout Hindu, was widely known to admire Jesus; Ghandi often quoted from the Sermon on the Mount, in fact. Once when the missionary E. Stanley Jones met with Ghandi he asked him, "Mr. Ghandi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?"
Ghandi replied, "Oh, I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It's just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Welcome to the forums, Ariana your 21 so you ahead of the game. It is always best to start young. When you first come forward about being Transsexual. You find out who are really your friends. Family can be harder to come to terms with. So good luck on your journey to womanhood. Stay on track and you will find success. good luck and be well Ariana!

Hi and welcome! This must be an exciting time for you.

I like Winnipeg. But the last time I crossed the border from Manitoba into North Dakota I got treated like a smuggler. But never mind that story. grin
