As with modeling in general, I think too much adoration is given to a certain "look" while everyone else get's marginalized. Plus, I can already hear people voicing support for the "model-beautiful" TS woman, but no support or worse for the rest of us who struggle just to appear remotely female. I hope I'm wrong, but that is already society's opinion toward genetic women (look beautiful or go hide), so it's the same old story. What an awesome post! That thought hadn't even occurred to me, but it rings so very true. I have heard this comment in the past about a transitioned woman: "Well of course he was supposed to be a woman, look how beautiful he is." I know the pronouns are wrong, that was how the comment was made.

Mahatma Ghandi, though a devout Hindu, was widely known to admire Jesus; Ghandi often quoted from the Sermon on the Mount, in fact. Once when the missionary E. Stanley Jones met with Ghandi he asked him, "Mr. Ghandi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?" Ghandi replied, "Oh, I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It's just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ."
