I am 20 years old, and have been on hormones for almost 2 years now. At that time, my breasts had developed to a solid B cup (having been completely flat-chested before). Then I had a small surgical proceedure on my neck. One of the requirements for going under the knife was that I had to stop my hormonal treatment 2 weeks beforehand. I did so, and my breasts were reduced to barely an A cup. What I have now is just fatty tissue. It's been 2 in a half weeks since I had my surgery, and I've since resumed my hormonal treatment. But they are showing no signs of growing back to normal...

I'm pretty concerned about this. Perhaps it's too soon to tell..? Is there a possibility that, because I stopped, they won't grow back at all??

I hope someone out there has some information with regard to my situation... Thanks so much in advance.

Well, two weeks before and two weeks after, that sounds like just a short period. Imho it's a kinda early to judge what is going to happen. I think you will be fine!

Yeah... that's true; but I sort of panicked when nearly 2 years of hormonal treatment was undone in just the timespan of 2 weeks. In 2 weeks being off hormones, my breast tissue dissipated. Now I'm just over 2 weeks being back on them, and, ...nothing. :P

I really hope you're right... I just don't know where to look for answers.

I quit hormones for six weeks after a year. My breastgrowth stopped for a while (they didn't shrink though - I wish). But when I started hormones again it still took about 5 to 6 weeks before the ladies started to itch again and be sensitive. You're still young... (omg I sound like an old fart here), give it some time!

You need not worry to much, Slightly increase you fat intake. You have not been off hormones that long to make a huge difference.

But will increasing my fat intake return my breast tissue?? I have very fast metabolism. In this case, maybe that would be unfortunate... Haha... Regardless of what I eat, I always stay around the same weight.

Maybe this is just a bit of a waiting game... I dunno; I just have no definite means of really determining IF they will even grow back. Which is what's got me worried the most. Since so far, they've shown no signs of regrowth.

I know it is hard to do, but have patience. Nothing happens over night.

When I went off the hormones, where it didn't happen over night, they sure did shrink pretty fast! :P LOL!

I'm just worried, because as fast as their size decreased, it's taking so much longer for them to grow back. And like I said, I'm really concerned that they won't grow back at all.

I don't suppose anyone here would have an educated guess as to when I might be able to expect regrowth? Or why it's taking such a long time for my body to get back up to speed? Did stopping my hormones altogether for 2 weeks undo the near-2 years it took to get to where I had been..?

I'm sorry for all of these questions... I'm just really worried. I've looked everywhere, and I can't seem to find any information on this specific scenario.

Yes despite having a fast metabolism as well, When I stopped hormones for Surgery. I increased my healthy fat intake. Twice in my lifetime I had to stop HRT. Once for SRS and before that as the result of a motor vehicle crash. So try not to worry and eventually things will return to normal. I'm 130LB and 5'8 started hormones when I was 18 and in the two instances, any loss was regain just be patient. There doesn't seem to be much research on this. Or the long term effects of HRT in Transsexual women for that matter.

I guess I'll just wait it out and try not to stress over it too much. I will keep you all posted with regard to what my situation is, as time goes on.

I'm bound to be back with more questions... haha.
