Good stuff Vanna!
I like to think this song was written about me
Billy Squier Everybody Wants You

His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?" Jesus answered, "Neither he nor his parents sinned; it is so that the works of God might be made visible through him. " John 9:2-3
Mahatma Ghandi, though a devout Hindu, was widely known to admire Jesus; Ghandi often quoted from the Sermon on the Mount, in fact. Once when the missionary E. Stanley Jones met with Ghandi he asked him, "Mr. Ghandi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?" Ghandi replied, "Oh, I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It's just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ."

One of the defining songs of my childhood, I Was Made for Lovin' You by Kiss (from 1979, but it belongs in the 80s most definitely; everybody was listening to it until well into the new decade).

Another one, Twisted Sister and I Wanna Rock. I loved glam as a kid, lol.

And a last one. I was a big fan of Nina Hagen. While my friends were singing inane sap like Olivia Newton-John's Hopelessly Devoted to You (a song I hated then and came to like later, gosh), I was singing Unbeschreiblich weiblich and all the "Unbehagen" lyrics.
From 1983, New York, New York.

I wanted to get "Don't Stand (So Close to Me)" by the Police, but I couldn't find a good YouTube recording of it. I have an attachment to that song, as I wanted it to be my high school class' graduation song. One of our teachers got married to a student who had graduated the year before...
Instead, the Class of '83 selected .38 Specials' "Hold on Loosely" Ugh.
