Hi,I am Michelle,30 years old and I have been living fulltime as a woman since March. It started in Febuary always having feelings that I was born the wrong gender all my life. Finally I came came out in the middle of Febuary to my family first which went great. My parents knew I was hiding this secret since I was 9 years old and could not hold on to it anymore. My sisters Toni and Jackie took it very well and also saw I was in pain.My wife Renee was not too happy at first and we seperated for 2 weeks. The good news is we have worked things out and still wants to be together with me loving me regardless. My wife and I knew we did not want to break up our family and we have two sons together,10 year old Zach and 9 year old DJ.They are coping well, they call me Michelle or Dad most of the time.I am seeing help and was diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria in Febuary.I am thinking of going through the next step in my life, the hormone therapy to become a woman I see myself as and that will be discussed next week with the Gender specialist I am seeing.

Welcome Michelle & co. It is nice to see that you have started to work out your future. In many ways the transition is not only yours but also your family have their own transitions.

Hello Michelle, You started on the correct foot by having your wife and family with you from the start. I did not and started at 55yr old. When I told my wife she was not happy! I waited 6 mths before telling anyone I was on hormones. I went to a therapist and gender doctor to start. You showed respect for your family which should help greatly. Good luck and happy transition. Forever Love's Light Teryll

Michelle. Your wife is not going to have her husband back as a woman. Instead the roles of a wife and a husband will change into something new. Your relationship will be amended. It is a long and winding road but in the end you will be partners, still loving one another but perceived as lesbians in the public eye. Do not hurry this process, it really needs time. My partner calls that cold water.
