Hello!! My name is Kareal and after the longest time denying to myself who I really am, I am beginning my process.

I am so happy to find a community such as this. Right now, my biggest hurdle will be telling my friends and family as well as my separated wife how I have been feeling inside since I was 3.

I am very very scared of this transition but at the same time, i feel a little more free.

I love you all!

Hey Kareal- If you truly are transsexual, the sooner you start transition the better. Almost invariably, TS's wish they would've started sooner than later.

Welcome to GenderLife, girl. smile ~ Rach

Kareal, when I first told my mother, I sent her this link and told her to watch the five-part YouTube vid. You might watch it yourself and see what you think. smile

Hi Kareal welcome...... I would also like to let you know that was one of my biggest fears but I learned early on that some family members will be able to accept it right away and other family members will not think twice about it....... When I told my Granny before I could get the words out of my mouth she looked at me and said "I already know and I am fine with it" and my brother who I thought would have issues with it was completely cool with it. He didnt understand and asked a bunch of questions but at least he didnt freak out on me or anything, still to this day I havent told my Dad and I'm not sure if I will be able to (he is that old old fashioned Redneck) Anyways Welcome.................

Hi Kareal, Welcome to this wonderful site and congratulations on finally setting the real you free!

Since I 'came-out" I reckon I will have told over 2, 500 people yet just had five negative responses (Sadly 2 are my sister and brother-in-law). I've told everyone how long I've hidden the secret away, why I hid and how I thought it would positively change my life! Guess what, it has!

Warm welcomes to you. Yes in the beginning this can be a scary time. Transition can be difficult for others in your family to understand. Just tell them as soon as you feel comfortable in doing so and get that difficult part over and done with. As you proceed you will become for free and stronger. I wish you well on your journey and good luck.
