Well, I'm here and I'm a "genderlifer", new as I may be. This is my second day here, and it's a ghost town. I'm BORED! No one to talk to. Stealth is nice some times, but at other times it can SUCK. Especially when you're stuck in a cow town. I gave 10 of the best years of my life, just to go under the radar. You can't get it back, and it's not always filled with gratitude and thanks. So, that's why I decided to give this forum a try.

Yeah, this place is slow now days.... darn flame wars... but some of us still hang out.

Genderlife was a life saver for me when I joined nearly seven years ago. I have met a lot of good people, and have made it through my transition mainly because of some of the good advice I have received here. It is sad to see so many of the girls have drifted away and left Genderlife a mere shell of what it once was.

I am still here, but I rarely venture past the shoutbox.

I think there are all kinds of transitions in life and moving on to something else seems to be part of the order of things. I lurk about and make a comment now and then but it's not like a few years ago when there were so many different issues that created a lively debate and the sometime dismissal for a short time. Things change in seven years. In those days I could never have imagined being where I am and doing what I'm doing now.

I've enjoyed the fact that I've had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful women in person that were and are a part of this group. I confess that I haven't done a very good job of staying connected even to those who are nearby for some reason.

Well seing as i was generally one of the people at the core of the flame wars co-incedently at times ..i think its a shame those people decided to leave or got banned as a difference of opinion is a great thing and makes the forum lively and vibrant and it wasnt depressing at all ...some of the flame wars lasted a few days i know one of em lasted 2 weeks and me and that person who were arguing in the first place were friends by the end of it . my feeling looking back a few years on is it was all banter and stuff needed to be said at the time as too many people were seeing transition thru rose tinted glasses and seemed to be living in an alice in wonderland world ..and i now feel if people wanna know stuff here they need to look back at some of the posts and lively debates that went on say in 2005/2006 i think a lot of the stuff then was so informative and even if it was said forthrightly .
Truth be told this place was a lifesaver back in the day for me and i will forever be eternally grateful to the people i met here whether i liked em or not is irrelivent .
Genderlife was such a good lively place and is still a good place even if its so boring now
