Over the week of focused self realization and from some assistance of wonderful friends here, I made a very hard decision to enroll into Seminary as a known Transgender MtF.
I have found out that the UCC church is very accepting of GLBT and they even have an entire website devoted just to our cause. I have posted who I am in the UCC forums and so far, to my extreme surprise, have had support and praise.
What really impressed me the most is that UCC has released a documentary that has Calpernia in it. The Video is called "Call me Malcolm." It is about a transgender who went into Seminary as as girl but graduated as a boy.
Here is an excerpt with Malcolm and Calpernia
Go to Clips and pick the third one I am very uplifted about this. For those who don't know I use to be a Pastor in a fundamentalist church as a way to tried to hide the real me but I was really called to serve in the church. Now, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and can see I do still have a future in my calling where I can be accepted.
