Thank you, girls! We didn't really celebrate birthdays with parties, gifts or cards growing up... just a tasty sheet cake after a good Southern dinner that night, so they've always been a bit of a baffling day for me out among "regular folks". I try to let everyone know that it's just another day to me, without squashing their fun, ha ha.
This year, Andrea and I had one of our favorite margaritas, went to a movie, followed with some delicious sushi and hot sake, and finished with tiramisu at my fave Italian joint. That was all I could have asked for, Mmm mmm mm!
Never forget to treat yourselves now and then, birthday or not!
