Now available on-line:
The Color of Sunlight.

Two women from different worlds meet in the twilight of a life and the result is a tale that will uplift you, illuminate you and enrich your spirit.

Available at www.tlcrn.com for $17.95 plus $3.95 S&H.

The Color of Sunlight is a rural nurse’s journey through the emotional and spiritual landscape of her remarkable patient; a blind, terminally-ill transgender woman who had much to give and nothing left to lose. It is a factual account of a friendship that transcended the barriers of class, gender and disability; a story told from the heart, with simple humility and unflinching honesty.

I was just coming on here to mention this book after receiving a note from the author:

Quote:
I had a profound experience 4 years ago, as a Home Health, Hospice Nurse that just has to be shared! It truly shows that being trans is internal! My patient was totally blind-from the age of 18 months old and she knew that her external and internal were not in sync!! She had no visual construct of the differences between male and female, yet she knew internally that she was female! Check out the fb page "The Color Of Sunlight" , or my web site www.tlcrn.com for more details of my journey with my remarkable patient!!

When I first read the manuscript, I cried, laughed, hoped, loved, felt anger, and related to many of the parts of the book! Yes, indeed, Michelle Alexander (the nurse) totally understood (got it!) what being transgender/transsexual is truly about... And understood Mishelle Woodring (the patient).

This is NOT a story of what it is like to be transgender as seen through the eyes of a medical care provider.

It IS a story of the real inner beauty the nurse found in the heart of the patient. She found the truth that transcends all of the ignorance, bigotry, hatred, and misinformation that pervades society.

Thanks, Andrea! We have reserved autographed copies for both you and Ms. Addams. We'd be honored if you would let us snail-mail them to you at the address(es) of your choice. Just let us know. I think Michelle Alexander (M2) might have already mentioned that to you but I wanted to be sure.
Regards,
Michelle Diane Rose
