Sorry if this has been asked/answered before but I'm fairly tall (let's just say 5'11" though I am a tad shorter smile ) and it has kind of bummed me out a bit lately. I was just wondering if anyone else here around my height had done or does to down play it. I'm open to just about anything from colors to hair styles. I was thinking heels would be out for sure... Thanks for the help!

You are just barely tall enough to be a model. Your height is not a problem by any means, including when wearing heels.

That's a bit of a relief. I was a bit concerned that I'd face trouble due to my height. Now I can proceed with a bit more confidence.

Your right there Nat they like the long legs, but even though I am only 5'7"ish I still get comments on my legs....... Hight isent something that is that important I think it is more about your actions.......... I know a GG that is 6'4" and she has never been mistaken for being trans or anything other than a attractive woman............

I'm 5'10". In my region, Seattle, I'm not exactly spectacularly tall. There are plenty of 6' tall women around here, and I suspect the average height is somewhere about 5'7".

Personally, I don't worry about it. I take advantage of 'tall privilege,' and I get a fair bit of positive attention because of it.

Often, anti-tall talk by others is just jealousy.

The primary drawback is finding stockings. Pretty much have to go online to find them long enough. Such is the curse of long legs smile

Some years back, the comedienne Elayne Boosler, who isn't very tall, used to do an extended bit about how panty hose are too short, that the sizes lie, and that even on her, "they barely came up to her knees".

BTW, one of her more famous quips:

"I'm just a person trapped in a woman's body."

I was always self-conscious of my height and it held me back. When I transitioned it was a non-issue so I worried for nothing. There are lots of tall women these days. Just be yourself and don't think about.

6'1" here. Problem is shoes. Finding shoes in my size is a bear. Funny, they make 3" and 4" heels in my size but rarely do I find flats. So I spend my time in athletic shoes or no shoes. I don't need to be another 4" taller.

I'm 5' 11'' and 135 lbs. Luckily I wear a size 9 1/2 in shoes. I usually wear Steve Madden flats, I don't want to be taller than most of the men. But, I see women all the time who look at least 6' 1''. I suppose women are getting taller with each generation.

You must be as thin as a pencil. 135?? Athletic women I know are like 5'9" and 155. 6'1" 160 (and rail thin). 6'3" 195. These are basketball players. Eat.

I'm 5'0" (that's not a typo) and 135 lbs. Here are two pics, an older one (short hair) and a more recent one (I'm the shortest person in the pic). I think I might qualify as an athletc woman:

My advce is stop using the scale to measure your body. A mirror is a far better guide, unless of course, if people look at my pictures and thihnk I'm fat wink

Ghandi replied, "Oh, I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It's just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ."

Yeah,I agree about using the mirror as a guide.(IMO)I think it all depends mostly on the individuals frame size really...a person like me with a small frame at 5'10"/155lbs(which I think is real close to my ideal weight...I was actually 144lbs pre-hrt)may look healthy and ok(I think I do)...whereas someone at the same height/weight with a large frame may have too much bone showing and not be very healthy looking...so yeah,I agree and do use the mirror for myself personally instead of the scale.

I'm only 5'6 but since srs I have stacked the weight on and was warned by my Doctor about weight being a give away. Seems GG's put weight on from tummy down to the groin area where as my weight is just tummy fat. I had a good friend who I hadn't seen for a while also mention the same thing a few weeks ago .... I've lost a few kilo's(pounds) since that fateful day and plan on losing more!

Hi Tracy B,

I wear hills to be 5-11 so don't let it get you down. There are plenty of good looking flats and there are a lot of tall woman out there. If you were 6-11 then you might have to worry but I say throw your shoulders back and stand up strait, tall and proud. Keep in touch Lady ttyl.

I'm 6'5", 240 lbs. Need to drop about 20lbs. I do wear heels. Get a lot of questions on how tall I am. But have not encounter any problems.

At least around where I live there are a lot of tall women, over 6 feet, I have seen in stores.

My partner's aunt was 6' 3", back in the 1940's.

I was approached by a woman(GG) who is 5'11'. She was thrilled to see another taller woman, she thought I looked great.
A lot of women have approached me, saying they wish they were as tall as me.
So standup straight, and keep your head high. Don't slouch.
So like me, you will notice the stares, but don't worry about it. hug
