HELLO! I'm C.J. and I am new to the forum. I'm a new post-op in my forties, navigating the life as a new girl juggling work, teen daughters, divorce, and FFS surgery at the same time. I live in Orange County...a pretty vicious little red state pocket inside normally deep blue California. I have a pretty supportive work place here, but I lost a lot of family and friends when I transitioned. I recently got a good visitation regime stipulated in my divorce that gives me a scheduling conflict with all my local support groups. My daughter takes priority, but I thought it best to find a group of trans people I could interact with, get advice from those who have been there, and help out the girls who are just getting started. I know I needed it, I want to give back, I know how hard it is to do this, and I did it with very little support. Any support helps, and you never know how much.

I have to get my head around this blue/red thing in the US which is the reverse for me. ( I mean red in EU = liberal/socialist and blue conservative fuddy duddies!) But anyway don't Orange Cty am very familier with the LA area.

I swear this thing has a mind of it's own sometimes and randomly edits out words! Meant to say Don't know Orange Cty so well (except the Metro Link to Ananheim/Irvine)

Colors...the odd thing is, they were random...the networks used blue for democrats and red for republicans in the Bush V Gore presidential race of 2000. They started using terms like "Will Florida go Blue" So it is odd that the party that claimed to HATE COMMIES more than taxes (and girl, do they hate taxes) is now know as the "Red" party. Anyhow, I guess for people who don't know Orange County it may be easier to say I can ride my bike to Disneyland, its so close.
