Hello. I am Gerlinde and live in Berlin, Germany. I had made my transition from male to female in 1994. Dr. Sohn was my surgeon. I work as a telephone operator and only seldom believed somebody that I would be a "man". I live la esbian live, and am a witch (Wicca) and write short stories (in German) which also contain the transsexuality topic. IAs you can see, my English is too lousily to translate one of my stories for you. But perhaps is there somebody who could translate?
In the past, I by the way was in the LDS church, where I was excommunicated because of transsexuality in 1992.
And their reason?
The church handbook of instructions (vol.1, Issue 1999) said:
Persons Who Are Considering or Have Undergone a Transsexual Operation
Persons who are considering an elective transsexual operation should not be baptized. Persons who have already undergone an elective transsexual operation may be baptized if they are otherwise found worthy in an interview with the mission president or a priesthood leader he assigns. Such persons may not receive the priesthood or a temple recommend.
This is for the Nonmembers. And members with transsexual feelings? They shall be excommunicated immediately.
