Province-sponsored transition is faster in Alberta than in BC. Perhaps something to consider if one is considering that route (you have to live in any province a minimum of three years to be eligible though).

The best place to live is in a yellow submarine in international waters.

I agree with Dagny here, at least from my perspective. Some Americans are always surprised when I say that Latino/mediteraanean/middle eastern etc. men are generally more accepting of me, and showed their attraction to me even early in transition, while the Anglo guys wouldnt give me the time of day until I was consistently passable (they didnt know). My friends expect that Machismo wouldnt allow them to interact with me but its quite the opposite. Its like in some cultures, they just know that we exist, and the rules are pretty clear for how they have to behave to continue being percieved as upright men.

My question for Dagny is: which matriarchial cultures are you referring to and how are you treated there in comparison?

Not impossible, I suppose, but this apartment design is very common for the San Fernando Valley.

The best place to live is as far away from earth as possible.

Hmm interesting and I tend to agree with Dagny. I've spent quite a lot of time in recent years in Greece, mainly in rural villages. I expected that the conservative values would be a problem. In fact no one batted an eyelid... except.. some stupid British tourists.
