Sorry! I thought I did this last year!

Now what to say... I guess I'll share a story and see if that kind of shows where I'm at.

I was on a video conference to DC doing lobbying for trans-inclusive ENDA and my friend Nick asked if he could take a picture of the group of us that came to the Congressman's office. I said sure and later someone asked if the picture could be used in a press release. I agreed to that too.

So nothing ever came of this press release that I knew of. I never saw it anywhere. A couple months pass and it appears on a very specific, but well-known blog. I figure you kinda have to know it's there, so whatever.

Now this posting has a picture of me all guy-mode like I wear to work, but says under it, "Tricia, a person in transition..." (Linking it would disclose personal information)

That's fine and all until my supervisor says to me a few days later, "Hey, I saw your picture." I get very blushed and quiet and she says, "Just let me know when you're changing things and report to me immediately if anyone hassles you." I guess she was reading about trans-inclusion lol

Is that a good start?

Sounds like a brilliant start to me, Tricia, and it just goes to show as many of us (thankfully) find that many are genuinely happy for us to be our true selves,
