The Spectrogram programs available for Macintosh are not as flexible as PC-based options, but we have a time-limited option you can use for a short time to get a sense of where your voice is. After the demonstration runs out, you will need to purchase the full-up version. IMPORTANT: The free version comes with very limited time. It is important that you have your computer set up to accept audio input, preferably through a microphone, before installing and opening the program. For help with installing audio input devices, consult your owner’s manual or contact your local computer or consumer electronics store that knows Mac products.

ONCE YOU CAN INPUT AUDIO

1. Go to this page:

2. Read the system requirements for Mac the Scope™ 4X 4.27 (All In One Installer)

3. If your computer meets the requirements, click the zip file to the right called mts4X427.zip

4. Choose Save File to Disk

5. Open the folder that downloads to your computer (called mts4X427.zip)

6. Read the Documents in that folder before installing.

6. Use the installer by double clicking Install Mac the Scope™/Waavebox™



7. Select all 11 options when it opens up and hit OK.



8. Directly below the 5K Hz marker, click the option with the mulitple colors for the scrolling spectrogram. If needed, choose which input device you are using in that window.

9. Begin speaking into your input device. You should see your voice on the screen in real time.



10. the goal is to keep your voice to the right of the 200 Hz marker. The image above is done with the HHAHH exercise. You want to be able to keep it at this pitch when you do the chanting as well: “This is the voice I want to use,” and conversational practice staying on the exact same note.




11. Once you get to where you can keep your pitch above 200 during regular conversation, you have gotten the most out of the spectrogram!

Remember, this is a time-limited demo, after which you will need to pay for the program, so use your demonstration time judiciously.
